Global Health + COVID-19: Combatting AIDS, TB, and Malaria Amidst the COVID Crisis

Yesterday, we hosted a Global Health + COVID-19 webinar with Ambassador Mark P. Lagon, Chief Policy Officer with Friends of the Global Fight, as keynote speaker to discuss the trajectory of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB, and Malaria in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. He updated our attendees on the progress of the Global Fund over the past year given the disruption of programs due to the pandemic. He also apprised us of the work done to mitigate the pandemic through their COVID-19 Response Mechanism. Furthermore, he specifically reviewed some key faith-based programs in Sierra Leone, Indonesia, and Ghana, among others, doing great work combatting these epidemics. We closed discussing ways in which we can get involved to continue the fight to end these pandemics by 2030.
