We were thrilled to have our Faith-Based Coalition for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria to send Chairwoman Lowey, Ranking Member Granger, Ranking Member Rogers, Chairman Shelby, Ranking Member Leahy, and Chairman Graham a letter of deep thanks today for their leadership and support of the modest increase for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria in the FY20 SFOPS bill that was passed in the House and reported out of the Senate Appropriations Committee. This is the first increase in six years for the Global Fund.
We appreciate their continued championing the world’s most vulnerable populations against the threats of HIV/AIDS, TB, and malaria. We also thanked them for their support of the commitments to the U.S. bilateral programs of PEPFAR, PMI, and USAIDS TB program.
We look forward for these numbers to be enacted with sustained guidance and leadership.
