Parnassus Bookstore: The End of Hunger Event!
October 31, 2019
By Jenny Dyer, PhD
Last night, we were able to celebrate the launch of The End of Hunger: Renewed Hope for Feeding the World in our hometown bookstore, Parnassus, in Nashville, TN.
Nashville contributors to the book also joined for a panel discussion on hunger, nutrition, and food security issues. Former Representative Diane Black; artist, filmmaker, and producer Steve Taylor and his daughter Sarah; and actor, author, and producer Kimberly Williams-Paisley joined the discussion to share their perspectives and passion on these important issues. We’ve traveled with and worked with each of these supporters of global health for years. We were thrilled to bring them together for this special event. Each spoke eloquently as to why they got involved with this book project – from local to global concerns.
Parnassus will be featuring The End of Hunger on their employee recommendation shelf all month! Keltie loved the book, and encouraged everyone to buy it as we enter the Thanksgiving season and are focused on food, family, and health. If you live in Nashville, they have a few more signed copies from these amazing authors left for purchase today! And of course, other signed copies will be available all month!
